AUMC Kids' Stuff Consignment Sale

Consignors

Consignor Agreement

Welcome!  We are delighted you have decided to consign with us.  We typically have 75 consignors at any given sale.  To ensure that each Consignor understands how the Kids' Stuff Consignment Sale works and your responsibilities as a Consignor, you agree to read and abide by all the information on this page and all the pages under the Consign tab.  Please pay particular attention to the Acceptable to Consign, Condition Standards, Commissions & Payments, and Sales Tag Instructions.

Everyone who works to make the Consignment Sale a success each year is a Volunteer.  No one is paid for their service.  Every Volunteer and Consignor must treat other Volunteers and Consignors with respect.  Any Volunteer or Consignor not doing so may be asked to leave the Sale immediately and, if they are a Consignor, their entire earnings forfeited.

Further, by participating in the Kids' Stuff Consignment Sale, you confirm and agree to the following:

Commission:  The Weekday Preschool and Early Learning Program of Annandale United Methodist Church will keep 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% or 70% of the each Consignor’s total sale tag receipts, based upon the number of volunteer hours each Consignor actually worked and recorded.

Tagging and Merchandise Condition:  It is the Consignor’s responsibility to create sales tags for each item they wish to consign, following the instructions located on the Sale website (www.AUMCConsignmentSale.com), including What You Can Consign, Condition Standards, and Sales Tag Instructions.

Completing this Consignor Agreement, you are signifiying your understanding and agreement to the following:

_____  Items not tagged according to the Sales Tag Instructions will not be allowed on the sales floor.  It will be the Consignor’s sole responsibility to re-tag each item if they wish to participate in the Sale.

_____  Clothing must hang on an appropriate child-size hanger, with the sole exception of clothing size 12 and larger.  No wire or dry cleaner hangers allowed regardless of the size of clothing (unless bent to create a child-size hanger).

_____  Items appearing to be broken or otherwise not intact will not be accepted for sale.

_____  Clothing items which are found to be stained, ripped or are otherwise damaged will be removed from the sales floor, unless the sales tag mentions the defect and the price reflects the condition of the garment.   However, all items are accepted for sale at the sole discretion of the Sale Managers and Co-Chairs.

_____  If an item to be purchased does not have a sales tag, the Cashier Manager will search the Lost Tag File and attempt to match a lost tag with the item.   If a matching tag is not found the Cashier Manager or the Sale Co-Chairs will price the item at a reasonable amount.

Liability: Whereas volunteers with the Kids' Stuff Consignment Sale will try to assure that merchandise is not damaged during the set-up period and on sale day, individual volunteers, Annandale United Methodist Church, the Weekday Children's Programs, their agents or assigns assume no liability for Consignor’s items.  Each Consignor must collect unsold items between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on the day of the Sale.  It is the responsibility of the Consignor to collect all of their unsold merchandise.  Items left behind or not collected as agreed will become the property of the Weekday Children's Programs for future resale or donation to local charity.  There are no exceptions to this rule or time period.
