Sales Area Set-Up Team

Description: On the Thursday evening and the Friday morning before sale day, the Sales Area Set-Up Team is responsible for setting up all areas of the sale, including the upper level entrance area, Wright Hall, the ELP hallway, and Atrium including the cashier, entrance and exit areas.  Team members will work directly with their team manager, AUMC staff and the sale co-chairs to accomplish the following tasks:
  • bringing clothing racks and tables to Wright Hall; 
  • remove folding chairs from chair racks, storing chairs and transforming racks into two-sided, two-level clothing racks
  • setting up the sales areas according to the Room Plan (pre-determined by the Sale Managers)
  • unfolding large round and rectangular tables
  • assembling metal clothing racks
  • placement of directional signage throughout the space and on individual clothing racks and tables.
Team members should dress comfortably.  This volunteer opportunity can be physically demanding as we will be moving chairs, tables, clothing racks, etc.

Men are helpful on this team.  Tables, chairs and clothing racks are HEAVY.  ALL hours volunteers apply to a particular consignor number.  Your husband, friend, brother and next door neighbor's volunteer hours all apply to your consignor number!
