Volunteer With Us! 

Volunteers make the Kids' Stuff Consignment Sale happen!
 You do not have to consign in order to volunteer.  

Benefits of volunteering are:

1.  Consignors earn a higher percentage of their total sales the more hours they volunteer to help with the sale.  See
Commissions and Payments for additional information.  

2.  Volunteers and Consignors who have signed up to volunteer at least two hours are invited to shop the Sale the Friday evening before the Sale opens to the public.  This pre-shopping event allows you to have the first opportunity to purchase items in a more relaxed, less crowded environment.
  

Volunteers who are not associated with the Weekday Children's Programs of AUMC or who are not consigning must work at least two hours
before the sale on Thursday or Friday at AUMC in order to pre-shop Friday evening.

3.  Help those in your local area who shop the sale each year for their family's necessities and holiday gifts.

Tag Counting - 3 Days: Tuesday, Nov.15, Wednesday, Nov. 16 & Thursday, Nov. 17

Please take note:
Any adult can earn you volunteer hours.  For example, if you work 2 hours and your spouse works four hours, you would have a combined 6 volunteer hours, entitling you to pre-shop on Friday and earn a 70% commission on your sales.  When signing up an adult family member to work on your behalf, please make sure you write in the comments that the person is working for your consignor number and include your consignor number in the comments section of the sign-up.   

Signing up your teenage children is okay, but they must be productive members of the team they volunteer for.  If they are unable to unwilling to follow directions and contribute to the team you will not receive credit for the volunteer hours.  

Only one person is allowed to pre-shop on Friday evening, regardless of how many individuals earned the volunteer hours. 


Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, all Volunteers MUST sign in to receive credit for their volunteering.  It is the responsibility of the consignor volunteer to sign in at the volunteer station prior to their shift, create a name tag, and sign out after their shift is completed.


For those working on teams before the sale (Donations, Online Publicity, etc.) it is your responsibility to inform your team manager of the hours you have worked and for the manager confirm that time commitment.  Managers will then submit hours to the consignment sale managers so that you are paid your earnings at the appropriate commission rate.
We Need Men to Volunteer! 
There are several volunteer positions that require heavy lifting and the transportation of large tables and clothing racks to and from locations around the church.  

Please ask you husband/partner, adult son/nephew/brother/uncle/father to help on:

Thursday, November 10, anytime from 9:00am-2:30pm, on

Friday, November 11, from 9:00-11:00am and on

Saturday, November 12, anytime between 9:00am-4:30pm.  

Our greatest needs are during the Sales Floor Set-Up on Thursday and Friday, as members of the Security Team from 9am-1pm on Saturday, and with the Break Down & Clean-Up team Saturday between 12:30-4:30pm.  
(Members of the Break Down & Clean-Up Teams earn an automatic 70% commission!)
